From Krk you can catch a direct bus to Mali Losinj.
If travelling from other parts of Croatia or beyond by car, you can take the car ferry from the mainland Croatian city of Zadar. Highspeed catamaran ferries also operate from Zadar, Rijeka and Pula to Mali Losinj. It is also possible to catch a bus to Losinj from the cities of Rijeka and Zagreb, as the island is connected to the mainland by bridge.
Weather and when to visit
The best times to visit Mali Losinj are the shoulder seasons of March to May, and September to August, when the weather is warm and sunny, but without the peak crowds. The summer months can get fairly crowded in Mali Losinj, and prices can also go up around this time. In general, the weather is pleasant year-round, although highs can get quite warm in July and August.
Certain activities are only available during some months of the year. For example, the windsurfing season runs from April to October.
