Holiday house with a garden in a lovely natural landscape, near the ski lifts and hiking trails

The house is in the midst of a breathtaking landscape near Annaberg in the Lammertal in the Dachstein region and it really is a little gem. If you have romantic inclinations and are seeking a special refuge or family fun, then this is the ideal place. It oozes Austrian charm and character and you will feel at home here.

The holiday house is on two floors and can accommodate five people. The traditional kitchen is fully-equipped and has a tiled fireplace stove and a dining space with a corner bench and a table. There is also a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The upper living room has a sofa suite and a little wood-burning stove for cosy winter evenings. Upstairs there are also three bedrooms with a double bed, a French bed and a bunk bed for children. This floor has a separate toilet. The central heating is fired with pellets.

Enjoy spending time in the big garden, grilling and sitting together with a view of the mountains. There is also a roofed car port for two cars.

The house is 3km from Annaberg and 6km from Abtenau, which are picturesque towns with a swimming pool, a cable car and summer toboggan run, as well as many restaurants and shops. There are also larger supermarkets. Russbach, at the entrance to the western Dachstein ski resort, is just a ten-minute drive away and also has a swimming pool and a cable car. During the winter months it is a great family ski resort and in summer the region invites walkers and mountain hikers. If you prefer lakes then you should visit Gosausee and Hallstattersee. Hallstatt, the oldest inhabited town in Europe, owes its age to the local salt mines, which are worth a visit, or you can stroll along the paved streets and enjoy the view of the lake. The beautiful baroque town of Salzburg is just a 35-minute drive away. The Salzburgerland and Salzkammergut regions in Austria offer many places of interest and activities for active holiday-makers, such as hot air balloon rides, cycling, fishing, hiking, skiing, swimming and horse riding.

“The house is a real lover's piece. It is a lovingly and detail lovingly renovated house of 1900, which is thereby almost in the original state. Many of the floorboards, various doors and door pushers as well as the very worn stairs to the upper floor are in original condition and bear witness to the generations of the inhabitants. The former cattle house was converted into a cozy bathroom with shower, the disadvantage is a certain cold of the room (very thick stables), which can not be beaten completely by the one radiator in the room. An additional heating fan is advised here so as not to have to freeze after the shower. Only the smell of the very old house after old wood and history one must get accustomed. It reminds of the smell of the houses in a open-air museum, but is not really unpleasant.

The cleanliness and equipment in the house is commendable. There is everything you need and everything is sparkling clean and lovingly decorated. Perhaps two sunbaths and a larger and better fortified garden seat might still be nice, but we could endure it without these very well.

The location of the house is gorgeous green and quiet. To the right of the house and across the street are two mountain streams and a romantic sound. Within sight, a small waterfall ripples into one of the brooks (the Lammer). What is missing is the wide view and the view of the mountains, since the house is situated in a wooded valley. You must always drive something to see the mountains again.

Must be mentioned but the nice care on site. The neighbors in the adjoining house ensures embarrassing cleanliness, is a warm welcome and doing everything to make the guests go well. She always had an open ear for us and was also gladly available for a chat at the garden fence. We expected an urgent letter and the neighbor asked us at the post office immediately and took care that the letter came to us as soon as possible. Otherwise, we felt very well looked after by her. Thumbs up for such a nice hostess!” The customer review has been automatically translated from German. Back to the original language

“We in the House very well. The following points, however, we would like to mention:
Conscience towards things we are more sensitive and can therefore deal with it when times appears a mouse in a 100-year-old house. But as we have learned from the neighbor who takes care of the house for the landlord, the landlord, living in England are fairly resistant to advice when it comes to certain necessary renovations, which have to be tackled. These include the renovation of the floor on the ground floor which consists of the loose floorboards. From there penetrate mice in the house. This is for tenants unacceptable, and therefore also tenants are probably left for a few days in the past.”

“Just as in the photos, it looks like: a 100 year old house with atmosphere, individually decorated, with all kinds of Bath and Kitchen Tools, CDs, DVDs, games, books. Everything is there, but a bit remote: a 10 minute drive to Annaberg or Abtenau.” The customer review has been automatically translated from German. Back to the original language
