Idyllically located four-star holiday apartments on a former wine-growing estate with a shared pool

The former forestry and wine-growing estate is located idyllically in the Châteauvert municipality amidst forests and vineyards. The renovated buildings of the estate founded in 1848 offer seven holiday apartments, which are open all year round. They have been awarded four stars by the French Ministry of Tourism.

All guests at the holiday apartments can use a 13 x 7m secure pool, to cool off in after trips around the region. The pool is ideally situated on the edge of the site and is open from 9.00 to 22.00. It is also heated from 1 April to 31 October, if necessary. Deckchairs and parasols are provided. There is also a summer kitchen with a pizza oven and you can find a 36°C whirlpool for seven people there.

There is a small grocery shop on the estate where you can buy essential items. Each holiday apartment has its own roofed car parking space. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the site. A cot and a highchair can be provided free of charge on request. Children’s games and a DVD player are available. The owners speak French, English and German.

The estate has about 45 hectares of forest. Those seeking peace and quiet and to relax from tiring everyday life have come to the right place. The private forest is ideal for walking or jogging. It is about a five-minute drive to Vallon Sourn, where you can go climbing and kayaking. You can also go on riding excursions in the area. Wine lovers can visit vineyards and sample the Provençal wines. The towns of Aix-en-Provence (about 45 minutes by car), Marseille (about 55 minutes) and Saint-Tropez are worth a trip. Cannet des Maures and the Gorges du Verdon are also easy to get to. You can find shops in Val, Brignoles or Barjol, about a 15-minute drive away.

This holiday apartment for four to six people is on the left side of the estate. It is quietly situated and very well-equipped and provides around 80m² of living space. The living and dining room has a big fireplace satellite TV and a sofa bed. There is an adjoining open kitchen, fully-equipped and American style. There are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom comprises a bath, shower and WC.

The apartment has a very beautiful roofed veranda, a roofed summer kitchen with a stone grill and a fridge, and a terrace with garden furniture, a parasol and two deckchairs, where you can relax and enjoy your lunch or dinner.

    “The property is located just outside the very small village of Chateauvert and is run by two very nice gentlemen. One notices very positively their multi-year international experience in the hotel area. The contact was very pleasant and accommodating without being intrusive. Everything needed is either in the apartments themselves or within max. 50m available.
    We lived with friends the second largest apartment (4 adults, 3 children and a baby) and had enough space. Particularly positive compared to other holidays we noticed the high-quality and tasteful equipment (extensive kitchen utensils, dishes, etc., nice cook, living area, good beds, etc.)
    We also had a fantastic outdoor area with a large table, private fireplace grill and 2nd outdoor refrigerator.
    We also took advantage of the opportunity to test out the local pizza oven on an evening in the pool house directly at the 13m long pool and were very satisfied. Also, everything is fully equipped (fridge, dishwasher, etc.), so that annoying back and forth could be completely eliminated :-).
