Spacious, bright holiday house with garden, barbecue, a roof terrace and a panoramic view over Funchal bay

The holiday house is near the old town centre of Funchal, just 1.5km in the direction of the valley. Madeira is famous for its lush vegetation, variety of plants and subtropical gardens.

The house is ideal for families, groups or couples and can accommodate ten people. Its interior is of a high standard, spacious, light and provides many amenities. It has three bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms, and a bedroom with two single beds. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher and a dining space for six to eight people. The living room is well-furnished and provides a 46” cable TV, a DVD player, a stereo system, a USB and iPod connection. The four bedrooms are on the first floor. There is a hall area and there is also a big terrace, ideal for romantic dinners. On the top floor there is a large open space with two single beds, a computer, an elliptical bike cross trainer and a roof terrace where you can admire the arriving and departing of large cruise ships.

The terrace affords a lovely view of Funchal bay and the big cruise ships. The landscaped garden provides ample space for relaxing. There is a roofed terrace with a dining table and a traditional Madeira grill. A spacious roof terrace offers a wonderful view of Funchal and the mountains. It is possible to park on site, also easy outside parking is possible.

With your booking, we are pleased to offer many free facilities:
Welcome basket (regional fruit, fresh bread, jam, butter, cheese, milk, tea, coffee), unlimited broadband Internet access in all the house (wireless and cable), linen provided with towels, washing machine detergent, soaps, shampoos and toilet paper. In addition to this we provide a light weekly cleaning and change of sheets and towels, tourist and logistical support. There are a guide books and maps available.

The old town centre has the Madeira History Museum and other museums that show the interesting history of the island. There are many restaurants with local and international specialities. You can use the cable car to get to the Jardim Botanico gardens or Monte. Or you can visit the fish, fruit and flower market Mercado dos Lavradores in the old town. There are two world-class golf courses, or you can enjoy wonderful mountain and coastal hiking trails, swimming, sailing and fishing in the sea. The modern harbour with yachts and motorboats is worth a visit. Although the coast has a lot of cliffs, many swimming pools have been built. It is a 15-minute drive to the sheltered Machico bay with find golden sand, which is suitable for children.
