Ibiza holiday homes for the ultimate in nightlife, beaches and nature
For many visitors, Ibiza holiday homes are synonymous with party culture and lounging hazily by the pool all day. While that side of this Balearic island definitely exists, there’s also a calmer atmosphere in Ibiza. Serene beaches, a town that’s surprisingly quiet by day, and historic landmarks make Ibiza a truly universal holiday destination. There’s no doubt that the famous clubs and top-name DJs are a big draw for many of the island’s holidaymakers, but the natural beauty of Ibiza means there’s a lot for families to enjoy here, too.
A beach paradise in the Balearic Sea
Ibiza’s holiday apartments and larger homes suit all travellers, from couples to families to groups of friends looking to make every second of their holiday count.
What makes holiday homes in Ibiza so special
There’s everything you’d expect from a world-class beach destination on the island, including unforgettable watersports such as scuba diving and parasailing, as well as boat tours of the coast or quick jaunts from town to town by speedboat. The forests around Cala Saladeta and Cala Benirrás are stunning, and excellent for hiking when you’ve had enough of sitting in the sun. If you just want to kick back, Es Portitxol and Cala Llarga are two of the most popular beaches in Ibiza. Cala Llarga, in the south end of the island, has a nice secluded feel that is ideal for families. Historic landmarks include the Necropolis del Puig des Molins and its 4,000 tombs, and the 13th-century Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows.
The benefits of booking an Ibiza holiday home
Whatever your priority, be it proximity to the beach, nature trails or your bed after a long night out, holiday homes in Ibiza are the ideal way to appreciate the island at its best. Las Dalias Night Time Market and San Rafael Artisan Market are excellent for stocking up on food and gifts. There are plenty of supermarkets in Ibiza Town too so you can shop for local goodies such as sobrassada sausage, bread, olives and tomatoes, and whip up your own feasts to share with loved ones. Alternatively, book a holiday apartment in Ibiza, at the centre of the action, and step out to a world of restaurants. Knowing you’ll find quality homes with safe booking means you can focus on just having a good time in Ibiza.
Ibiza for every type of traveller
As mentioned, Ibiza is a surprisingly optimal place for family holidays, with coastal walks, forest hiking trails and many calm beaches that kids and parents alike will adore. You can even bring your dog along and stay in one of the many pet-friendly villas – go for long walks and snap amazing photos at sunset. Couples will also enjoy the Mediterranean ambience created by the historic streets, markets and superb bars and restaurants, all setting the stage for an unforgettable romantic getaway. Groups of friends will be well served by Ibiza as well, with the huge homes available on the island.
What kinds of foods to prepare at your Ibiza holiday home
As mentioned, there is a range of unique delicacies you can pick up if you want to cook at home or bring back something for friends and relatives. Sobrassada sausage, a Balearic island speciality, is made with cured pork and paprika, so it keeps very well if you’d like to take it back as a present. It’s no surprise that seafood is a focus of many of the island’s meals, with paella, lobster stew and baked cod being popular. International restaurants and intimate neighbourhood establishments serve tapas, pizza and other mixed Mediterranean delights.
The types of Ibiza holiday home you can choose from
There are all types of houses you can stay at on the island, ranging from grand villas housing over a dozen guests to smaller holiday apartments in Ibiza Town. There are also several attractive Mediterranean-style mansion houses, many with their own pools, which will make an impression if you’re booking something as a treat for friends or loved ones. A holiday home with your own pool in Ibiza also means you can skip the beach if you’d rather some privacy – simply walk a few metres from the back door to your own patch of sun and water. Other interesting rental options in Ibiza are fincas, a type of traditional Spanish farmhouse that’s great for groups or families.
Popular destinations in Ibiza
Whereas Ibiza Town is the hotspot for nightlife and history in Ibiza, there’s plenty more to the island if you’d like to explore something a little different. San Antoni de Portmany has grown from a sleepy fishing village to a community with a buzzing atmosphere, a gorgeous promenade that's excellent for romantic walks and the West End district, which has many bars to choose from. At Santa Eulària des Riu, discover the 15th-century Puig D’Missa church at the top of the hill for unforgettable views and tranquillity that’s worlds away from the bustle of Ibiza Town. Sant Josep de sa Talaia has many beaches nearby, including Cala Comte and Port des Torrent, and you can take part in tennis, go-karting and horseriding in the area.
Getting to your Ibiza holiday home

From May to October, you can expect temperatures to in the 20s and above. Spring and autumn are great times to visit, especially if you’d like to beat the crowds and do some hiking and cycling in slightly cooler weather. Even in winter, Ibiza is never truly cold.
