Calpe holiday homes promise Mediterranean views

Holiday homes in Calpe place you in a pretty town on the Mediterranean coast with incredible nature parks nearby. Walk along the volcanic rocks and take in panoramic views of Calpe, or stroll along the promenade and taste mouthwatering fish dishes and freshly made paella. You'll be just minutes away from the turquoise-blue sea, where you can explore and try scuba diving or snorkelling for the first time. For a family adventure, go on a boat trip and investigate the caves and medieval sites around Calpe.

Beautiful nature parks in Calpe

When staying in Calpe, visit the Natural Park of Penyal d’lfac, which is connected to the sea and linked to the shore by large rocks. Follow the trail and you'll be treated to picturesque views of Calpe. Weekdays are often the best time to visit the popular spot, as they are far quieter. It's also a great place to bring your dog. There's Arenal-Bol as well, a popular golden sand beach decorated with palm trees just minutes from most holiday homes in Calpe. Here, take a dip in the sea or try local cuisine along the promenade's many beachfront restaurants. If you want to explore more of Calpe, then take a boat trip excursion and go on a tour around the caves surrounding the area. Get a round-trip from Calpe to Benidorm and admire the fascinating medieval villages along the coast.

Relaxing with friends and family

Calpe's famous Old Town, set at the top of the main shopping street, is filled with winding cobbled alleys and streets that take you past a variety of local traders and street food vendors. The Plaza Mayor (Mayor Square) often has food trucks offering quick and tasty lunch options. Wander through the pretty lanes lined with potted flowers, beautiful cafés, and museums. The sea, which boasts crystal-clear water and breathtaking beaches, is the perfect place to take your family to try snorkelling. Calpe is a major fishing area and has its own marina, so you'll find many opportunities to get out to sea – you could even go scuba diving to explore the Mediterranean's depths if you fancy.

Indulge yourself at your holiday home in Calpe

Whether you choose a beautiful compact home or luxury holiday apartment in Calpe, you can look forward to a great holiday experience with your loved ones. Choose from a wide selection of accommodations through TUI Villas. Stay near the town, and you'll be minutes away from local restaurants, cafés, and markets, so you can also purchase food and cook your own Mediterranean-inspired dishes in your holiday home's kitchen. Alternatively, for a more secluded experience with your family, stay at a cottage outside Calpe, where you can unwind in your rental's private pool and garden as you like. You'll also be closer to Penyal D'Ifac's nature trails.

Mediterranean cuisine to try in Calpe

Due to its location on the Costa Blanca, Calpe's food is typically Mediterranean and healthy. The food is rich in fish, vegetables, and fruit, and local chefs often know the perfect combination of spices to bring the dishes to life. A must-have dish when visiting is paella, which you may see being cooked in the streets in a large black metal bowl on an open fire. This tasty dish, which dates back to the mid-19th century, is traditionally seasoned with saffron, giving it a vibrant orange colour. If you have a sweet tooth, try Jijona ice cream, a delicious treat made with Calpe almonds mixed with egg, honey, and sugar.

Destinations near your holiday apartment in Calpe

In Benissa Costa, you can admire historic architecture with orange-tree-lined lanes in peace – it's quieter than other destinations in the area and is one of the Costa Blanca's oldest towns. Make sure to see the small town's lovely Catedral de la Marina. Stop at Guardamar del Segura near your holiday home in Calpe and visit Parque Reina Sofia's ponds, miniature waterfalls, and resident peacocks. For larger waterfalls, visit La Nucia, which has trails winding past rock formations, impressive falls, and swimming holes. Take a dip to cool down and enjoy a picnic with your family amid stunning natural surroundings. La Nucia is known as a 'fruit valley' and has beautiful views over the Mediterranean from its beaches, Playa Mal Pas and Poniente.
