Castles and caves

Kids will love Cala Gat, a lovely sandy beach with crystalline waters five minutes from the town centre. Hire some snorkelling equipment to observe the many colourful fish swimming around. The beach is safe for kids as there are always lifeguards on hand. There's also a nice bar above the beach which serves delicious meals, snacks, and drinks and is family-friendly. Older children will enjoy exploring the coast on a stand up paddleboard, which can be hired from Sea Safari Mallorca. They also hire out bikes and scooters, and organise snorkelling trips to various locations in the area.
Experience an adrenaline rush
An electronic jet surfboard is a fun way to explore part of Majorca's coastline. The jet boards are easy to use, CO²-free, quiet, and great for adults and teenagers. You'll take in one of the most beautiful and diverse coastlines in the world, with its rugged coves and long sandy beaches. Travelling to Cala Ratjada
Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is the nearest international airport to Cala Ratjada. It serves regular flights from London Gatwick and Stansted, Bristol, Manchester, and Birmingham, as well as other places in Europe. From the airport, take the airport shuttle, which runs four times an hour. This will take you to Palma's Grans Magatzems bus station in about 19 minutes. From here you'll be able to catch a bus to Cala Ratjada that takes 1 hour and 41 minutes. There are also plenty of shuttle and taxi services offering direct services to Cala Ratjada. Alternatively, hire a car to drive to your holiday apartment in Cala Ratjada. This is the quickest way to get to your accommodation and will give you more flexbility to explore the island for the rest of your stay.

In winter, temperatures remain pleasant at around 11-13°C at the coolest, with a higher chance of rainfall. Many of shops, restaurants, and attractions are closed for part of the winter. The period from May to October is the most popular time to visit, and the busiest times are from June to August, so be forewarned if you're looking for a quiet holiday with fewer crowds.
