These enclosed, romantic natural stone houses enjoy an idyllic location just outside the coastal village of Brela, nestled between the blue Adriatic and the Biokovo mountains along the sunny Makarska Riviera in the south of Croatia. You can enjoy a relaxing seaside holiday here far away from tourist noise and in absolute privacy.

The two authentic stone houses from the year 1700 were carefully renovated in 2010 and equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. They can accommodate a total of ten people, three in one house and seven in the other. They are therefore ideal for a family or a group of friends who would like to spend their holiday together whilst still retaining some privacy. The main house has a light living and dining room with an integrated, open kitchen, three bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. The air-conditioned (cool/warm) living room has a generous corner sofa suite, a TV with cable and satellite channels, a DVD and CD player and a dining table with six chairs. The built-in kitchen next to it is equipped with a dishwasher, a four-zone gas stove with a cooker hood, an oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle and a coffee machine. Wide wooden stairs lead to the upper floor with the bedrooms and bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed measuring 180 x 200cm, while the third has a double bed measuring 150 x 200cm. The sofa in the living room can also be converted into an additional single bed (80 x 200cm). The first bathroom has a shower cubicle, the second has a corner bath with a shower attachment and a washing machine. Both are fitted with a washbasin with a cupboard underneath, a wall mirror and a toilet. Next door in the second house there are a little kitchen with a dining space and a bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a two-ring gas and two-ring electric hob, an oven, a fridge, a dining table with four chairs and a TV mounted to the wall. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180 x 200cm) and a single bed (80 x 200cm). The rustic stone walls in the bathroom exude a cosy atmosphere. It provides a washbasin on a solid wood cupboard, a spacious shower cubice and a toilet. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided and the reliable wireless Internet connection in the two houses can be used free of charge.

Outside there is your private infinity pool surrrounded by plenty of sun loungers and parasols. While you are swimming your rounds under a blue sky, you will feel like you are floating right above the Adriatic. Or you can make yourselves comfortable on the extensive sun terrace around the traditiona stone grill and enjoy leisurely meals together with a panoramic view over the mountainous landscape and the sea bay. There is also a convenient outdoor shower. If you arrive by car you can find secure parking spaces right in front of the stone houses on the enclosed site. Your pet is also welcome at no supplementary charge.

    “The houses are fine, tidy, functional and the garden with pool is great. We were 5 people, so we had enough space. In the small house there are max. 3 beds, a great bathroom with shower and a mini kitchen with a kl. Breakfast table, the adjoining terrace is awesome. In the larger house there is a larger kitchen and a large dining table, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets and 3 bedrooms with 2-3 beds.
    The way to the sea leads over many steps and is relatively steep. The coves by the sea are super nice, clean, equipped with showers and on the beach promenade you will find many clean toilets.
    The host was very nice, always helped promptly and promptly freed the pool of leaves whenever the wind was strong. We could park right next to the house, which was very convenient.”

    “We were 3 couples and a teenager, so the two houses were perfect for us. Everyone had their own area. The pool and the view are solitary top, in the evening one can enjoy the sunset from the terrace. On the way down to the sea are about 200 steps to overcome (and then of course also up again), which was quite exhausting. ;-) Along the beach promenade are several restaurants and bars to be found. The center of Brela is about an hour on foot.

    The houses are equipped with everything you need - refrigerators, washing machine, coffee machine, crockery, etc. Only the beach chairs at the pool are a bit rickety and could be renewed. The landlord brings fresh towels every 3 days and asks if everything is in order. We also had rainy bats and cats.

    “We were with 6 people in the two conjoined holiday houses and thus had plenty of space. Everything was clean, well-kept and friendly furnished. Especially the absolute peace and the irreconcilability of the property pleased us. The pool overlooking the bay is especially nice. In the evening the bats came to drink from the pool, a wonderful natural experience. We mainly stayed outside, there are 2 covered seats so we always ate outside. The beach below the house is very nice, not crowded, clean and the water quality is outstanding. Unfortunately the 200 m to the beach are mainly vertical, you have to work quite well until you get back up, but it is worth it.
    The landlord is very nice, helpful and responded immediately, if times a question has. We have already planned our next vacation here.”
