200-year-old farmhouse with holiday apartments in the southern Black Forest nature reserve

This farmhouse was built around 1830 and has been modernised, without changing the original character of the house. It comprises three holiday apartments and is in Bernau-Innerlehen, in a very quiet location on a side street, in a residential area.

All the apartments are comfortably and practically furnished. They provide central heating, a conservatory (in some cases heated), a well-equipped kitchen or kitchen unit, a shower room, and a panoramic view. Wireless Internet access is available. A cot or highchair can be booked for a fee. The apartments are ideal for families from two to five people.
The enclosed site provides a parking space for each apartment (gravel area), with a short asphalted driveway to the house, on a slight incline. You can share use of the garden, the terrace, seating furniture and grill. A freezer is available, as well as a washing machine and dryer, for a fee. Heating charges are payable for the conservatory (see supplementary costs). The owner also lives on site.

In winter the owner sets up a little toboggan run for children, if there is enough snow. The garden house with seating is available as a recreation room and also for barbecues for all apartments.

The guest card entitles you to use the three ski lifts in Bernau-Innerlehen, the bus and train (2nd class) free of charge, as well as free entry to the museums in Bernau, such as Resenhof, or exhibitions at the Hans Thoma Museum, and the Bernau tennis court, the cross-country skiing centre and the outdoor pool.

There are three ski lifts and cross-country skiing trails nearby (ca. 200-600m), as well as a more challenging lift in Bernau-Hof about 3km from the house. There are restaurants, a bakery, banks and other shops, as well as tourist information about 200 metres away. It is a good starting point for getting to the Todtmoos Aquatreff, about 12km away, or a guided tour in the fairytale/magic forest, or the coldest spot in Bernau: Taubermoos.

From here you can go on beautiful hikes to Herzogenhorn (1430m), or the Krunkelbachhütte. In winter you can get from Bernau-Hof to the Krunkelbachhütte and then take a sledge down, also with ski boots. Or you can go to the cross-country skiing centre, up to Blösling (1300m), with a panoramic path starting at the house. You can also visit the Todtnau waterfalls. There is a lot to see and do here, but of course you can also just relax and enjoy yourself.

Holiday apartment 2, on the upper floor, with wooden ceiling beams and wood frame walls.

This holiday apartment with a conservatory is on the second floor, all on one level. It has a bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with a double bed and a single bed (80 x 190cm), a fully-equipped kitchen with a stove (four rings), oven, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle and everything you need for cooking and baking. The generous living room provides a sofa, bench, table and chairs, table football, satellite TV, a stereo system, a record player, a DVD and VHS player with a selection of books, records, CDs, VHS and DVDs. The bathroom has a shower, WC, two washbasins and a little dryer. There is a hallway with cloakroom space. The ceiling height is about 235cm.

The living room opens into the unheated conservatory, on the south-east side. The conservatory provides seating, a swing for children and a washing line for hanging up laundry.

The apartment is accessed through the main entrance and the stairwell, which is shared by holiday apartment 1 and the owner’s apartment. The apartment is self-contained with its own front door.
