Beautifully furnished holiday cottage with a private swimming pool and sun terraces, right on the beach

If you want to spend your holidays soaking up the sun on Blue Flag beaches, with your own swimming pool and plenty of privacy, this is the right place for you. This holiday cottage with its own swimming pool is situated directly opposite the Mediterranean, separated from the sea only by the beach. The beautiful holiday cottage is located on the Costa Tropical in Andalucía, south of Spain, in a residential complex close to the coastal town of Calahonda, not far from the town of Motril (Granada). The cottage enjoys a quiet location within the complex, at the end of a road with very little traffic.

The light flooded cottage was built with high quality materials and is set on 250 m² of grounds. It features 140 m² of living space and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean sea. The cottage mirrors the traditional Andalusian design in every room. The windows on the house front (living room and two bedrooms) have shutters; the windows in the other rooms are equipped with mosquito nets. The cottage spreads over two floors plus basement. It comprises of five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen.

Upon entering the cottage you walk into a small hallway that leads directly into the living room which has large windows and a door leading onto the terrace, from where you can enjoy beautiful views across the beach and sea. The living room is furnished with a sofa bed (1.35 m x 1.90 m sleeping area), satellite TV and DVD player. On this floor, you will also find the fully equipped kitchen complete with cooker, oven, fridge and freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine, and a bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. The first floor hosts four bedrooms, furnished as follows: the first bedroom has a double bed (1.35 m x 1.90 m) with a large wardrobe and boasts gorgeous views of the beach and sea. The second bedroom offers the same view and has two single beds (0.90 m x 1.90 m and 0.90 m x 1.80 m) and a wardrobe. The third and the fourth bedroom overlook the garden and are furnished with two single beds (0.90 m x 1.90 m and 0.90 m x 1.80 m in each room) and a wardrobe each. On this floor there also is a bathroom with a bathtub, bidet, washbasin and toilet.

The holiday cottage has a sun terrace which is accessed from the first floor via a staircase. From here, you can admire breathtaking views of the sea and beach and soak up the sun in absolute privacy, as the terrace is shielded from onlookers. In the cottage’s private garage you will find three bicycles and two kayaks which you can use during your stay. You can also leave your car in the garage. Moreover, the cottage has a small garden and a great swimming pool (7 m x 4 m) with an outdoor shower for a nice cool down. The area around the pool and the house features one more terrace equipped with garden furniture, loungers, a barbecue, sunshade and offering views of the beach and sea.

Entrance to the cottage is via a small staircase that is right on the beach, only a few steps away from the sea. Calahonda is a wonderfully quiet beach, measuring 1200 m in length with an average width of 40 m, and with clean, fine sand and the Costa Tropical’s crystal clear waters. Village life largely takes place at the beach. Calahonda is a small fishing village on the Costa Tropical, with a pharmacy, bakery, fish mongers, supermarket, churches, newsagents’, bars, restaurants etc. The cottage enjoys good access to the motorway so that within a radius of 100 km you can comfortably get to the airports of Almería, Granada and Málaga.

We can only positive things. The very friendly owner and his daughter (the good German speaking) welcomed us with a welcome basket and cold drinks. All hand and beach towels and full bed linen was changed after one week. The pool was cleaned during our stay 2 times. The house overall was very clean and in good condition. For bulk buying is advisable to drive in the 10 km Motril. There is everything the spoiled holidaymaker need. What impressed us was that despite summer season the beach and everything else was far from crowded. Even the place itself was full in Spanish hands and you had the feeling to be truly on vacation in another country and not. In a German or other European colony Despite some communication difficulty, people were very very helpful and made you feel all very welcome. In short, we'll be back !! Book yourself: Again, we have to say that everything was done very smoothly and well organized.
